In fiscal 2013, the TMG's Special Zone project successfully attracted foreign business, with 11 companies deciding to expand their operations to Tokyo under the scheme, surpassing the target of 10. (as of the end of March 2014) Six of them are in the medical/healthcare industry, two in environment-related businesses, two in IT, and one in content creation.

Of the above companies, one has transferred its operations to its home country due to change of business plans.
